Line of Greeting Cards launched today

Today I have launched a new line of greeting cards which I will start to make available at exhibitions in which I’m involved. Also you can order them directly from me. There are more than 50 titles in my initial selection. A broad range of subjects and styles is presented for starters. Over time I plan to develop several particular themes. The growing selection can be viewed in my Rob’s Photo Cards on Etsy storefront.

Here are a few samples from my initial selection:

Maple Leaf Display

Tree and Shadow at Monte Albán

Kites on White - 3

Coleus Detail

I will add new titles periodically. Drop by and have a look from time to time.

Of course, with a few exceptions, almost any image on my website can be developed into a greeting card. Ask!

This Kite Aerial Photography session took place over three years ago on October 19th, 2008. Up to now I haven’t mentioned the session in my blog although I did post a few images on flickr. Now I have processed more images and added them to the gallery on my website. Here are a few to whet your appetite.

This was my third kite aerial photography session at Pinhey’s Point. The Pinhey’s Point Foundation is a group which has indicated an interest in my photography with the prospect of doing a demonstration and photo display next summer. Thus, I have incentive to return from time to time. This time I went with the hope for some fall colour remaining and early enough in the day to have the front of the building (river-facing side) illuminated with morning light. Being late in the year with the sun in the south east, 10:00 a.m. was not early enough as the front was already in shadow. However, the lighting was diffused enough this day that the shadows were not too harsh and the results were pretty good in my opinion.

I was accompanied during this session by friend and photographer Bruce Amos. Together we represented 2/3 of our Photo Boyz trio. Hey Murray, next time maybe?

Pinhey’s Point is on the Ontario side of the Ottawa River, just upstream from Ottawa (Kanata) near the small village of Dunrobin. It is an 88 acre heritage site administered by the City of Ottawa. For more information visit the Pinhey’s Point website.

These images were taken from a camera suspended below a kite (Kite Aerial Photography – KAP).

The kite line and the photographer are visible in several images.

West End Studio Tour, YouTube Video – Rob Huntley featured artist

The West End Studio Tour (WEST) 2011 is over for this year but our hard working team keeps plugging away year-round to keep this annual event rolling along. Choleena DiTullio is diligently working on short video clips of each artist to add to the West End Studio Tour YouTube Channel.

It’s my turn to be the featured artist and here is the video with several of the images that were shown in my gallery during this year’s Studio Tour.

Thanks Choleena for a great job putting this together.

To see all the images that I had framed and on display please visit the gallery on my website for West End Studio Tour 2011.
