Overflight Stock – Aerial Stock Photography

I’m happy to report that I have teamed up with a new Canadian aerial stock photography company named Overflight Stock. It has been launched by Peter Chigmaroff, a professional stock photographer/videographer with over 25 years of experience producing stock content for many of the world’s top libraries. Depending upon the image, Overflight Stock offers both exclusive and non-exclusive licensing, rights managed and royalty free, aerial stock photography and videography.

I have started to upload to the site and a few of my kite aerial photography images have started to appear, such as the one below of spring thaw on Lake Superior. Regional indexing of the site will be enhanced as the volume of stock photography for each region increases. For now my work is simply listed under the general heading of “Canada Stock Photos“. Search “Rob Huntley” to find my small but growing collection.

Seven of my Pinhey’s Point photographs selected by Getty Images

Over a 2 year period I was preparing a series of aerial images of Pinhey’s Point (near Ottawa) for an exhibit in the Pinhey’s Point museum last summer. One morning last spring I arrived and the wind was flat and the sky was overcast. I waited but a predicted change in weather didn’t happen. So much for believing the weather forecast. It was so still that the reflections in the Ottawa River were amazing. Fortunately I usually travel with both aerial gear and tripod gear so I switched mental gears. Seven of the images I took that morning were selected by Getty Images for exclusive licensing and they are now included in their catalogue. Here are a few of them.

Goldenrod Beside a Hedge

New in my Getty Images portfolio:

Goldenrod Beside a Hedge. This is an image that was taken at Waterperry Gardens in the UK last year. I decided to apply a few photoshop filters to give it a more painted look. I liked it so much that I did a print for display at the West End Studio Tour last year. Now Getty has taken it into their catalogue.

Wyoming Red Road – 5 more shots added to Getty Images

New in my Getty Images portfolio:

Getty Images has selected five more of my Wyoming Red Road series of aerial photographs to be included for exclusive licensing by them.

These images were taken using a remote-controlled camera suspended below a kite line (Kite Aerial Photography – KAP).

Cactus Abstracts

New in my Getty Images portfolio:

I subjected two of my cactus photographs to some “artistic” photoshopping and came up with Hedgehog Cactus Abstract and Pincushion Cactus Abstract. Not only do they make nice prints which I displayed at the West End Studio Tour last September (2011) but now they have also been added to my Getty Images portfolio.
